Configure the bus output

The Bus Out on the VSSL are pre-outputs that can be configured to output any of the VSSL zones on the local device. The mirror or copy whatever is being played on a zone.

Key features of the bus out:

  • Select which zone to output
  • Set the output to variable or fixed. (Default is variable)

A good example of using the bus output is to output audio to an outdoor landscape system or a home theater. You can output to a landscape system and leave the volume variable, then the user can adjust the music straight from their phone.

Set the Bus Output in the VSSL app.

The bus output settings screen in the VSSL app.

Adjust the bus output settings in the VSSL app by going to Settings -> Select the device -> select bus output under Bus Settings.

Note: The bus output copies a zone. If you want to have the external zone operate independently, you’ll need to leave one of the VSSL zone’s speaker output unconnected.
